WORLD WAKE SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008 NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE RIVERFRONT PARK
Well, Tennessee was AWESOME!! We are really glad that we made it there since Carl and Tommy were huffing spray paint the night before from stenciling all the beach balls we gave out. Tommy ended up taking home a third place finish in the Men’s Open division. He is super stoked with his placing this year being that it was his first time at Worlds ever! Getting to finals was a feat in itself. There were tons of amazing riders throwing down. Tommy’s smooth style, grabbed airs, ally-oop 3’s, sliders, and shuv’s was what landed him the third place finish. We are all really happy for him and how he did! Tommy loves the way his new Crowley Wake 51″ wakeskim rides. He also loves the graphic/traction that he and his hommie Sergio spent some time on. It turned out amazing and looked great shredding behind the boat, everyone dug it. Thanks Sergio! Keep checking back on the product page so you can get one in your hands, or even better on your feet behind the boat!
As you can see the venue site was fantastic with a lot of green grass that was perfect for the Crowley Wake beach balls to be played with, they were a HIT! The elevated seating areas were perfect which let the viewers see the entire course. The water was warm, the weather was nice, the food was great, and the liquid sugar with our sweet tea was even better! It was a really fun time this year at Worlds and wanted to thank everyone that was involved in sponsoring/putting on the event. We want to give a special thanks to Kayce Brewer from Centurion who did a wonderful job in organizing this event, putting everything together over sleepless nights, and dealing with all of us. See you all next year!!!
